Ostuni is situated more than 200 meters above sea level, on the fading hills of the Murgia and is one of the most famous places in Salento.
Ostuni is also known as the White City because of the splendid whiteness of its houses, it is one of the most enchanting tourist destinations in Southern Italy.
This town, in the heart of Salento, is also one of the most characteristic seaside resorts.
For years it has been awarded many prizes such as “ the Bandiera blue” and “the cinque vele Legambiente” both of which define the cleanliness of the sea and for the quality of services offered to tourists.
Its historic center is called by its inhabitants “The earth” for the fact that it’s houses are completely painted with wash lime (a characteristic of this region). The houses climb on a steep slopes of a hill and the village is characterized by a tangle of winding streets, squares, alleys and courtyards. A daydream that is all to be experienced.
ABOUT US
The B&B la Prejela was founded in one of the most magical cities in Puglia, a nineteenth-century house divided into four apartments, with research in style and design, distinguished by a unique and romantic character.
The Prejela is the Ostuni dialectal definition of “Grapevine” that has emerged from inside the villa and gained its path outside the facade. This has made the structure seem like it has been immersed in nature. A harmonious combination of magic and destiny which has lasted more than 50 years. No one knows who or what brought this Grapevine outside the structure, and nobody knows where it finds its roots.
